Service Dog Program
REY OF HOPE
Our service dogs are trained in basic obedience before being paired up with a handler with a disability. Before pairing, the dog has learned at least one general task, based on whether it is intended to be psychiatric or mobility, and public access training has occurred, although the dog will not be finished in PA until paired with a handler. Our dogs are all rescues, generally acquired between 8 weeks and 3 years old from animal shelters and breed rescues. There is also an owner train program, where the head trainer, Jesse McGaughey, works with you and your (approved) dog to train them into a service dog to mitigate a disability. Owner training can take from 6 months to two years, depending on age and current training level of your dog. Email or text me for prices and questions. I understand many disabled people are also financially unfortunate, so there are financing options, as well as fundraising that is available.
